Presentación/Presentation
I'm Karen Muñoz
I'm 20 years old. I study foreign languages at Universidad del Atlántico. (English, French, German, Italian..)
I'm from Barranquilla, Colombia.
Actually I work as a teacher in a private school called "Club de Leones CERAL".
This is a school for deaf and hearing students from 1st grade to 11th grade. My job is about teach english as a foreign language. Students still learn good spanish but this year the school had decided to teach them english.
I started as a practicum student since May. Now, i'm the teacher and I look for the better ways to teach them basic english.
All the material that you can see in this blog had been edited by me and I hope you ask for my permission before to use it. Because this is my final work for graduation.

La hora en Inglés
La forma clásica y formal de decir la hora en este idioma es la siguiente:- Si es una hora en punto: Son las 9:00 -> its´s nine o’clock.
- Son las “hora” y “minutos”: Son las 9:10 -> It´s ten past nine.
- Son las “hora” menos “minutos”: Son las 10 menos 20 -> It´s twenty to ten.
- Son las “hora” y “media”: Son las 11:30 -> It´s half past eleven
- Son las “hora” y/menos “cuarto”: Son las 8:45 -> It´s a quarter to nine.

Decir la hora en es al que en español. Primero se dicen los minutos y luego las horas.
("It is" o "It’s" = “Son”) ha de ir siempre para indicar cualquier hora.
-Si se trata de la hora en punto, la estructura es siempre la misma:
“It is eleven o'clock“ ) = "Son las 11".
-Los cuartos de hora se expresan con las palabras "a quarter":
“IT'S A QUARTER TO TEN”: “Son las 10 menos cuarto”.
“IT'S A QUARTER PAST TEN”: “Son las 10 y cuarto”.
-Para decir la hora y media se usa la siguiente expresión:
"IT'S HALF PAST TEN" = "Son las 10 y media".
-Para otra hora diferente de las anteriores, primero se dice los minutos, seguido de la expresión propia de "menos" o "y" y se terminará con la hora conveniente:
IT'S + MINUTOS + PAST / TO + HORA
